Front design.

The almost completely closed BMW i kidney grille forms the central optical element of the impressive front. Together with the L-shaped arrangement of the air inlets in BMW i Blue, it underlines the all-electric nature of the new BMW iX3. The flat Adaptive LED headlights in the new design give the front of the BMW iX3 a focused look.

Side view.

The generously proportioned contours around the wheel housings self-assuredly showcase the 20" M Aerodynamic 890 M style wheels in Jet Black with aluminium accents. The Air Breather in BMW M design on the wing behind the front wheel optimises the airflow.

Rear design.

In combination with the vertical Air Breather, new LED rear lights with three-dimensional cover glass, pincer graphic and horizontal indicators ensure an appearance with maximum focus. Diffusers in Blue complete the tail above the road. The trim positioned in between has a high-quality appearance in Frozen Grey.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional combines a 12.3" fully digital instrument display with 12.3" touch-capable Control Display. Panorama glass roof.

When open, the Panorama glass roof provides a friendly, light-flooded atmosphere in the vehicle interior and offers plenty of fresh air. It opens and closes completely automatically at the push of a button or with the vehicle key, and is equipped with slide and lift functions, roller sunblind and wind deflector.

Sport seats.

Ensuring a high level of comfort in the interior of the BMW iX3 are sport seats in perforated fine-grain Sensatec fitted as standard. The M leather steering wheel including Multifunction and M emblem has a 3-spoke design. Interior trim strips in Aluminium Rhombicle Dark additionally set sporty accents.

More dynamic, efficient and innovative than ever: the fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology installed in the BMW iX3. In combination with the newly developed high-voltage battery and Adaptive suspension, it allows this SAV to offer an electrifying driving performance and acceleration over every metre.

Adaptive suspension.

The adaptive suspension makes it possible to adjust the damper characteristics to suit any given driving situation, increasing tyre comfort and driving dynamics. In addition to the standard COMFORT setting for increased driving comfort, the SPORT program offers athletic damper settings.

Electric drive unit.

The highly integrated drive unit combines electric motor, transmission and power electronics in an aluminium housing, saving space and weight. The direct, spontaneous implementation of acceleration requests ensures the typical BMW driving pleasure. By managing without rare earths, the electric motor is particularly sustainable.

Recuperation system.

The recuperation system converts the kinetic energy generated during deceleration and braking into electricity and feeds this into the drive's high-voltage battery to increase the range. The adjustability of the recuperation level in four stages enables increased individualisation and a significant gain in comfort.

BMW IconicSounds Electric.

With BMW IconicSounds Electric, you can further enhance the emotional experience of purely electric driving. The sound productions give you immediate acoustic feedback on various driving manoeuvres. The sound output is provided internally by the audio system and externally by components of the acoustic protection for pedestrians.

Why do the ranges vary?
The respective range of an electric vehicle depends on various factors such as driving style, route conditions, vehicle equipment, weather conditions and payload.
In detail
High average speeds (highway) reduce the range most significantly, while inner-city traffic leads to a higher range due to lower speed and higher recuperation shares (in contrast to vehicles with internal combustion engines). Furthermore, the range is reduced at low temperatures due to the required heating as well as due to the necessary cooling of the high-voltage storage unit at high temperatures. Regarding the special features/equipment, the selection of larger tire combinations generally reduces the range (if the aerodynamic disadvantage is not compensated for by an aero-optimised wheel design). The rolling resistance class of tires is also relevant for the range: e.g. the use of a winter tire reduces the range compared to a Label A summer tire.
General range specification and range values in this indicator
In the model selection, the communicated range is based on the WLTP (Worldwide harmonized Light-Duty Test Procedure) cycle.
WLTP enables a calculation of the range under prescribed driving conditions. WLTP assumes a defensive driving style with a route mix of city streets, country roads and highways.
The range indicator allows you to estimate the range. Whether in the vehicle or via app - thanks to the range circle, you always have a clear view of the remaining range. If the destination is outside the range, the eRoute automatically adds charging stations to your route.
What are the assumptions underlying the driving style settings?
Setting a "sporty" driving style assumes 100% highway driving with an average speed of approximately 130 km/h and a dynamic overtaking style. The "economical" setting assumes defensive driving on country roads with an average speed of around 80 km/h. Settings in between produce a mixture of both.

With your BMW iX3 and BMW Charging, you benefit from numerous tailor-made offers for charging at home, on the road and at work as well as an impressive vehicle charging capacity of up to 150 kW. Included with the vehicle is a standard charging kit consisting of the Flexible Fast Charger for flexible and mobile charging at home, as well as the charging cable for public charging and the BWM Charging Card.

Consumption is based on WLTP best case. Charging performance is based on the maximum possible charging performance (depending on charging type and vehicle).

Communicate with your vehicle using the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. Say natural commands to operate numerous vehicle functions. It can also explain topics about your vehicle and helps you to get to know your BMW even better.

Connected Charging.

With the Connected Charging digital services, you use the range of your BMW i model efficiently while remaining flexible at all times. The system assists you in the search for public charging stations and provides important information in advance. The app also gives you an overview of relevant vehicle data.

Driving Assistant Professional.

Driving Assistant Professional offers optimum comfort and safety during critical or monotonous traffic situations. Apart from the contents of the Driving Assistant, it also includes Steering and Lane Control Assistant with extended functions, Emergency Stop Assistant and Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection.

Parking Assistant.

Parking Assistant makes parking the vehicle easier. The Rear View camera provides a clearer view behind the vehicle. Active Park Distance Control offers increased protection against damage caused by parking. Parking Assistant parks the vehicle automatically, parallel or perpendicular to the street, and leaves parallel parking spaces. The Reversing Assistant supports you when reversing, e.g. in narrow lanes.

Active Navigation.

The Active Navigation Guidance as an extended function of the Steering and Lane Guidance Assistant is able to suggest a change of lane when this becomes necessary to follow the navigation route. To do this, the system identifies a suitable gap in the traffic flowing in the adjacent lane and then directs your attention to the lane change.
