EXTERIOR DESIGN.
The exterior of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo unites dynamic lines with the elegance of a coupé in a fascinating way. This vehicle embodies the unique harmony of form and space and creates completely autonomous aesthetics that are unlike any others.
Embedded in the precisely-outlined front, the wide, almost three-dimensional kidney grille underscores the particular character of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo even when viewed from the side. Thanks to the distinctive chrome frame, the kidney grille appears to melt into the double round headlights. The silhouette is elegantly elongated by the long lines. The rising progressions lend irresistible dynamics and continue uninterrupted all the way to the rear. A gently sloping roof line is characteristic of the classic coupé and increases space in the interior.

The light and elegant design of the instrument panel brings structure and optical harmony to the interior with its typical BMW horizontal lines. All important functions are ergonomically arranged and can be used intuitively. The round instruments are in the driver’s field of vision, the centre console and the free-standing Centre Display are orientated towards him. Just in front of the gear lever is a practical storage compartment or two cup holders, as desired. And there’s even more room available – for water bottles of up to 1 litre in volume or other small items – in the storage pockets of the driver and front passenger doors.
Roominess
The rear accommodates up to three adults in exclusive and relaxed comfort. A long wheelbase means legroom similar to the amount found in a luxury vehicle, while the comfortable rear seat also allows rear passengers plenty of width. The adjustable rear seat backrest maximises relaxation, while the cargo function increases the 520-litre boot by up to 33 litres. Folding the rear seat backrest in a 40:20:40 split adds an extra 1,600 litres, if needed. The cargo function allows you to fold the rear seatback in increments and expand the luggage compartment by up to 33 litres. Folding the seat in a 40:20:40 split increases the available volume to a maximum of 1,600 litres. This can be done manually or via the lever on the remote key with the optionally-available comfort package. Thus you can rest assured you’ll always be prepared for any situation according to your specific needs.
Flexible comfort
The optionally-available Comfort Access makes loading the vehicle even easier. Included in this package is contactless opening of the tailgate: just hold your foot under the rear bumper briefly and the the boot opens on its own. This is especially practical when you have both hands full. Now you no longer need to put your luggage down in order to open the tailgate.
The two-part parcel shelf has more advantages: when the tailgate is open, part of it remains in position and can thus be used as a storage compartment. When needed, the whole parcel shelf can be removed and easily stowed in the boot, thus allowing you to make use of the entire height ot the compartment and accommodate larger items with ease.
COMFORT.
A high-level of comfort and a panoramic view from every seat: an impressive amount of space in the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo ensures plenty of freedom of movement. The driver, front passenger and rear passengers all benefit from an extremely generously-designed interior and the high seat position. In addition to high-quality materials and state-of-the-art workmanship, a generous sense of space awaits you and also guarantees comfort and driving pleasure over long distances. There’s plenty of headroom and legroom in the front as well as the back. The extended rear seat has enough space for three adults to travel comfortably next to each other. In the centre of this lounge-like atmosphere with frameless doors, the passengers are treated to a special view.
