BMW Selective Beam (anti-dazzle high-beam function) automatically controls the high-beam headlights, depending on the ambient light conditions and traffic situation, for excellent visibility when driving at night. The system monitors the presence of vehicles in front or oncoming traffic and continuously adjusts the high-beam lights to avoid dazzling other road users. At the same time, the accent lights and the characteristic LED light rings identify the vehicle as a BMW from the very first glance.
